HOLLYWOOD, CA (Hollywood Today) 09/08/09 - The fashion world ascends on New York this week as top designers and celebrities prepare for the start of New York’s Fashion Week September 10th. The extravaganza in Manhattan is the first of four major fashion shows, ahead of Milan, Paris and London. The event will showcase the ready-to-wear 2010 spring-summer collections from some of the industries’ biggest designers, including Michael Kors, Carolina Herrera, Diane Von Furstenberg, Narciso Rodriguez, Ralph Lauren, Donna Karan and more.
This year’s show is intended to have a cozy, romantic atmosphere. One of the latest as-seen-on-tv obsessions, the Snuggie, will be a main feature on the runways, as models will strut their stuff in the latest colors and cuts of the Snuggie. Spring 2010 will also be about delicate romance. Expect to see models floating down the catwalk in light, flowy dresses with beautiful draping and soft ruffles.
